Virginia Guzmán (she/her) holds an Agricultural Engineering degree from the University of La Rioja (2019) and has a strong connection to the arts. She studied piano at Eliseo Pinedo Conservatory (2004-2014) and earned a Master's in Advanced Theatre Studies from the International University of La Rioja (2020-2021), where she researched on kabuki theatre and onnagatagender influence in Japanese society.
Actively engaged in the art scene, Virginia has worked as a lighting designer, performer, and dramaturgist, directing Oxímoron at the MUTIS Festival (2021) and performing with her theatre company La Provinciana, Carnaval, 2K18 and Nudos, which won first prize at the Fase C contest (2021).
Her belief in interdisciplinarity bridges science and arts, collaborating with companies like La Fura dels Baus and artists such as Maja Renn.
Her latest project is Rhythm of Reverence (2024) with Tanzhaus Zürich and Aly Khamees.
