PERPETUUM
performance
2026

Direction and Performance: Maja Renn
Assistance: Misia Żurek
Clay Expertise: Anneka Beatty

PERPETUUM draws on the properties of unfired clay in pottery: soft and pliable when moist, firm yet fragile when dry and returning to its primal state when rehydrated.

The choreography follows this material logic. The perpetually reshaped body moves between yielding, holding and letting go. Repetition with subtle variations creates a circular rhythm that refuses the notion of a final outcome.

In the face of limited resources, the piece proposes circularity over disposability and asks how value can grow by reworking the same material again and again.
